A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY FILMED IN A VERY, VERY FUTURISTIC SOUNDSTAGE
A lone “hero” hidden behind a helmet, a Baby Yoda in a floating crib and many lightsaber fights in a galaxy far, far away. This is (a brief) sinopsis of The Mandalorian, the Disney+ TV series from the Star Wars universe.

Created by Jon Favreau, it is set five years after the events told in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Yes, a false serenity reigns… but the memory of The Empire is still quite present.
The aforementioned masked hero (the Mandalorian) is played by Pedro Pascal, and he is a bounty hunter comfortable living in the limits of the galaxy, and morality.
In fact, it was this character’s complex personality what gave the show its “code name” before the cameras started rolling. ‘Huckleberry’ was the moniker used by the whole crew to speak about The Mandalorian during the initial stages of the project.
Keeping the mystery was, in this case, mandatory. The first Star Wars live-action series was something highly anticipated by the fans and no-one wanted to ruin it with unexpected leaks.
Such high-level of secrecy should’ve been hard to keep. But luckily for the production team most of the filming took place in California.
The Mandalorian didn’t fear to do things on its own way, and it turned out to be the first Star Wars fiction that has been filmed entirely in the US.
