This magical half-day journey to Middle-earth begins in Queenstown, heading to Glenorchy and beyond, through stunning landscapes that brought The Lord of the Rings to life!

Just minutes after departure, the route skirts the breathtaking Lake Wakatipu, one of the Top 10 most beautiful drives in the world! The first stop is at the Twelve Mile Delta, for a short walk along the canyon boardwalk, the cinematic backdrop to scenes from Peter Jackson’s epic saga!

After a brief stop at Bennetts Bluff Lookout, the itinerary continues to Glenorchy’s historic wharf and its famous red shed. From there, the journey enters Mount Aspiring National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll step into the enchanting forests of Lothlórien, the perfect spot to dress up in Middle-earth costumes and wield replicas of legendary swords!

The adventure then carries on through the Dart Valley to reach Isengard, a spectacular glacial valley. Throughout the trip, passionate local guides (true Tolkien fans) share behind-the-scenes stories and filming secrets!
