A day in Middle-earth: Full Wellington & Weta Workshop tour with lunch!

This 8-hour adventure takes you to some of the most iconic locations from The Lord of the Rings universe around Wellington.

An expert guide leads the group to the Embassy Theatre, the site of legendary film premieres, and to Mount Victoria, offering stunning views over the city… and the very forest where Frodo and the hobbits began their journey!

The experience continues at Weta Workshop, with exclusive behind-the-scenes access! A Weta artist shares insider stories and secrets about the creation of weapons, creatures, and costumes from the films. The journey follows the path of the River Anduin toward the Falls of Rauros, before stopping for a hearty, hobbit-style lunch, comforting and plentiful!

In the afternoon, Kaitoke Regional Park becomes Rivendell, the ethereal home of the Elves! A unique replica of the Rivendell gate lets you relive the beginning of the quest to Mordor. The tour ends with visits to the Gardens of Isengard and the quarry used as Helm’s Deep and Minas Tirith, an epic finish to an unforgettable day.
