The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premiered on September 1st. This series is set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings. A legend from the mythology created by J. R. R Talkien that took place in the Second Age.
New episodes and characters that come to shed some light on the darkest and less known period of time in the Middle-earth.
5 season, 8 episodes to forge 20 Rings of Power.
Surely the TV series will have plenty of time to do so. So far, Amazon has confirmed 5 seasons, and the first one has 8 episodes that will tell how the 20 Rings of Power were forged. These are obviously the rings that, some time later, were a great menace to Frodo and to all the Middle-earth.
The Rings of Power will also cover the rise of Sauron and the events that made him the villain we all know. The series will also center around the alliance that once existed between Elves and Men. Young Galadriel will play a key role in the story as well as a new character named Celebrimbor, a powerful elven-smith who was manipulated into forging the Rings.
This adaptation has already transported us to the Middle-earth’s remotest places, to its breathtaking kingdoms and mighty forest. A trip to a world we already know but in a different era. An era where the legends which had spread beyond time and fiction originated.
